An Ordinance to amend the Standing Committee Ordinance 1897 and the Regions Ordinance 1995.

The Synod of Diocese of Sydney Ordains -

Name

1. This Ordinance is the Regional Electors Amendment Ordinance 1997.

Amendment of the Standing Committee Ordinance 1897

2. The Standing Committee Ordinance 1897 is amended by relettering paragraphs (a), (b) and (c) of the definition of “Regional Electors” in clause 1(1) as paragraphs (b), (c) and (d) respectively and by inserting a new paragraph (a) as follows -

“(a) the Regional Bishop and the Regional Archdeacon;”.

Amendment of the Regions Ordinance 1995

3. The Regions Ordinance 1995 is amended by relettering paragraphs (a), (b) and (c) of the definition of “Regional Electors” in clause 2(1) as paragraphs (b), (c) and (d) respectively and by inserting a new paragraph (a) as follows -

“(a) the Regional Bishop and the Regional Archdeacon;”.
