Memo 3 September 2002

        Memorandum to Synod Members

Elections of "Core" Standing Committee Members

Under the Standing Committee Ordinance 1897, 4 qualified ministers and 8 qualified laypersons are to be elected as members of the Standing Committee by the whole Synod before the Synod session.

Nominations for this election closed at 5:00 pm on 2 September 2002.

As there were only 4 nominations for the qualified minister positions and 8 nominations for the qualified lay positions, no ballot was required to be held and the Archbishop has declared the nominated persons to be elected.
