Each nominee was proposed, seconded and discussed in the order in which his name appeared on the Select List. Thereafter, voting on each of the nominees, was undertaken by secret ballot in each order of the members of the Synod, the lay members voting first. The results of the ballots were -

As a consequence of having obtained a majority of votes in both orders of the members of the Synod the name of Peter Frederick Jensen was placed upon the Final List.
