The Special Session of the 14th Synod assembled in the Chapter House, Bathurst Street, Sydney at 7pm on Tuesday 25 May, under the Presidency of Archdeacon W J Günther, Administrator of the Diocese of Sydney. Synod held an evening session on Tuesday 25 May 1909, and thereafter held sessions each afternoon from Wednesday 26 May to Thursday 27 May 1909.
